Psychopaths - Roots of the Dark Tetrad of Personality
Psychopaths...
WHAT
ARE DARK TRAITS?
Dark personality traits are stable characteristics of a person when triggered, lead to the display of undesirable, counterproductive and destructive behaviour, which hurt surrounding people (friends, family, co-worker or customers).
The four components of the Dark Tetrad are narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and sadism. Sadism is a new member of the Dark Triad, which also includes narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. In either case, this means that a person possesses traits from all of these personalities.
Extreme selfishness and a lack of empathy for others are two primary features of the Dark Tetrad. This combination affords the ability to cause harm and abuse others in a variety of ways without any regard for the feelings, safety, or morality of the victims. They are focused on dominance and power often using aggression, manipulation, exploitation, and vindictiveness. All behaviour is justified if it grants them what they want, including criminal acts.
PSYCHOPATHS
AND PSYCHOPATHY.
Psychopaths have long piqued people's interest, with violent 'psychopathic' characters frequently appearing in fiction, television, and movies. Psychopathy is defined by a complete absence of empathy. Psychopaths can be deceptive, charismatic, and opportunistic, as well as reckless and hazardous in their behaviour. They may be devoid of conscience or guilt, and they refuse to accept blame for their actions.
When people with psychopathic characteristics
see other people in distress or try to learn the consequences of their actions.
Individuals with psychopathy's ability to
create associations between stimuli and outcomes, such as injuring other people
and the fear and misery others express as a result, or making a poor choice and
receiving punishment, is harmed by the faulty functioning of certain parts of
the brain.
Overall, the decreased activity in these parts of the brain hampers emotional responses and decision-making.

Ramirez's victims ranged in age from nine to eighty-three, and he had no preference for male or female victims. In the 1980s, he destroyed Los Angeles with his terrible, Satanic murders just because he was fascinated by it. That's not to suggest his upbringing had nothing to do with it. He was only 11 years old when he witnessed his cousin murder his wife and was asked to help with the clean-up.
